The sacred ceremony in Suci Pura Agung Besakih is symbolic of the petition to Ida Hyang Widhi Wasa in order to bestow prosperity, food, and good health. Related to the implementation of Karya Agung Panca Bali Krama, the rituals of Ngingsah and Negtegang means the petition to Ida Hyang Widhi Wasa for the use of various kinds of ceremonial facilities that are sourced from the creation of God as well as begging to be given ease in getting some facilities that are difficult to find.

This ceremony is intended as an indicator to start the activities of preparing various facilities and infrastructure of Karya Agung as well as a spiritual statement to ask for holiness, especially during the implementation of the work (ngalang sasih).
